collecting crash dumps

We're scratching our heads trying to come up with a reliable way to collect
crash dump data on our RHAS 2.1 servers. Have to say we haven't had many
opportunities to need this but a RHAS Oracle 9i RAC cluster has been giving us
fits. Problem is, not being able to collect/save dump data makes it very hard
to know what's going on.

We've installed netdump but, so far, NIC module and/or kernel version
incompatabilities have kept this from working. (we've been working with RedHat
on this particular problem and may have worked through it).

Not wanting to put all my eggs in one flimsy basket, I was hoping the group
could report back on solutions they've put in place. We're missing the dump
capability we've got in our other 'nixes big time.

Thanks.
