There are a couple people lurking around here that have done an e5k, myself included. I didn't try real hard and had some problems, but others have gotten it to work better than I. I would question what he's using to interface with that disk array, I can't remember if the a5000 is fiber or not, but it could be tricky if it is. oops, I see this is devel. There are a couple people in users that have run it on a e5k.
