Hello, /dev/usb/tts/1 is read only for all users and this is a problem for synchronizing my palm with kpilot. this behavior come from rock-plug. When i do "tail -f /var/log/messages" i see that rock-plug use /etc/rock-plug/../usbfs.perm for setting permissions on the newly create usb devices. These devices are created only if i use the cradle button for synchronize (but this is not a real problem). I have modified this file for setting the owner of /dev/usb.../1 to root:users and have change the permission on 664, but i can't synchronize under my user account (my user account is member of the users group). If i set the permission on 666, rock-plug still use the 664 permission instead. I don't understand what i'm doing false. Can someone help me, please. ------ Sorry, my english is poor. -- Patrick BARTHEL [email protected]
