Hi,
I'm new to aacraid, have the below output from my Expandable RAID
Controller 2 Command Line Interface.
The way I thought I had them set up last year was in a RAID 1 configuration.
I have the PERC3/DI Cotroller card and two 36 gig (I believe seagate) SCSI
drives - this is in a PE2650. Ay info or URL's that would answer some or
all of these questions would be greatly appreciated...
How can I use Expandable RAID Controller 2 Command Line Interface to
determine if -
1.) The Disks are in fact set up in a RAID 1 Array?
2.) The data on both disks are identical (mirrored) as it should be?
3.) If they are both up and running and if there are any problems with
either one?
4.) Check the version of Expandable RAID Controller 2 Command Line
Interface firmware?
5.) Is there a data integrity test I can run to determine if the data on
both disks is identical as it should be in a RAID 1 array?
6.) If one hard drive crashes, will the other drive definitely take over
until I replace damaged disk, and if not how would I
configure Expandable RAID Controller 2 Command Line Interface to make
sure that one will take over if the other crashes?
7.) How can I configure Expandable RAID Controller 2 Command Line
Interface to send me a warning e-mail or other communication that
one of my hard drives has crashed or is defective in any way? I was
told last year that I could even set up OMSA to beep me or
even page me if I have a crash.
