Hi,
I'm trying to get the at76c503 driver to work with the NetGear
MA101RevB
USB wireless transciever. I compiled and installed the driver on Debian
3r3
with kernel 2.4.19, and I can load the driver, and it prints out the
correct
MAC address, but I don't have a wlan0 device.

Here is my config info:

Device: USB NetGear MA101 RevB
Linux Distro: Debian 3r3 (woody)
Kernel Version: 2.4.19 (from kernel-source-2.4.19.deb)
at76c503 Source: at76c503-0.11

modules loaded:

uhci
usbdfu
at76c503-rfmd
at76c503

When I plug the MA101 into the USB Bus, I get:

hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 3
usbdfu.c: Downloading firmware for USB device 3...
at76c503.c: <compile ID, date-time-tag>
at76c503.c: firmware version 1.101.2 #84 (fcs_len 4)
at76c503.c: device's MAC 00:09:4b:32:a3:cf <--- Correct MAC
at76c503.c: registered wlan0

But then ifconfig/iwconfig don't show a wlan0 device!!
Nothing shows up in /proc/net/wireless
Nothing shows up in /proc/bus/usb

What should I try next??

Thanks in advance,
