3Com 3CRWE62092B not work

Hi all

 I tried to configure a 3Com 3CRWE62092B 11Mbps WLAN PC Card in my linux box,
I downloaded the atmel wlan driver, configured and installed it, when I insert
my PC Card, the driver loads the pcmf502r3 module, but the card doesn't seems
to
work, the led light is off and I can not comunicate with the AP, but I saw it
with iwconfig, ifconfig and lvnet programs.

 What did i do wrong?
 What can i do?

I'm using Slackware 8.1 with kernel 2.4.23 that I compiled with wireless and
pcmcia options enabled.
the lsmod shows:
