Thanks for all the input No of course I meant a signal of 81dbm not transmit power :-( Yes I know that SR5 should have a internal gain but this really does not work in my case :-( I have 2x 27dbi grid antennas in 5.8GHz ... And I have the 1. cards that came on the market, that could be the other problem :-( UBNT has changed my cards because they modified the table but it could be that the versions I have still have a problem :-( Wrap is not problem. I have new versions of wrap and also alix boards ... I use CM9 because the output of SR5 was the same ... But one of this days I will change CM9 to SR5 to test again ... Does anyone have experience with XR5 and madwifi? I cannot buy here anymore SR5 only XR5... Thanks for the pointer to ANI. I had no idea of that even the original thread/problem was raised by me in 2006 (BIG problem) :-( I have actually 0.9.4 (from voyage-0.5.2) in production but could not find that sysctl was inclcuded in this realease even the thread stated that it will be included in 0.9.4 tree.. Which is the current "valid" patch to include in 0.9.4? Is it http://madwifi-project.org/ticket/705? Thanks a lot Beat ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
