Yes, we used the exact same modem. Actualy, the old PC was updated with 
a new processor and motherboard with integrated graphics and sound. 
(Btw. this makes new tests with the old PC very hard.)

In attachment, you'll find the diagnostic output (hsfdiag.txt). It was 
also in the first email.

What does the 'NO CARRIER' message mean ?  What is a 'carrier' on a POTS 
line by the way ?
