HELP!!! I'm runnin Mandrake Linux 9.1 and my Ethernet card is a Davicom DM9102. I'm having trouble keeping my network connection alive. I can get it to come up and I can ping other addresses with no problems. However, once I try to do something "real" like access a web page or retrieve mail, the connection usually goes. Most of the time, it goes down immediately, but sometimes it stays up for a little while before it finally goes down. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to whatever makes it go down and I'm new to Linux networking, so I have no idea how to track it down. Regards, Jeff Chadwell Here's the output of tulip-diag, dmesg and ifconfig (sorry for the length of the dmesg output, but I don't know what's important): # tulip-diag -m tulip-diag.c:v2.17 5/6/2003 Donald Becker ([email protected]) http://www.scyld.com/diag/index.html Index #1: Found a Davicom DM9102 adapter at 0xde00.
