Neither one. Only patch which will apply cleanly to the non-bitkeeper
versions from day when these patch were released is matroxfb-2.6.8-rc2,
which will apply to 2.6.8-rc2. There is no patch which can be applied to
pure 2.6.7.

What problem do you have, exactly? I'm not aware about any possible
bugs in the kernel's code if you do not use more than one head.
