We have the same problem here. Our setup is SuSE Linux 8.2 with a non standard kernel 2.4.25 and acl patches 0.8.71. Filesystem is ext3, Samba is 2.2.12. The problem is not reproducable for us. From what i have observed, default ACLs seem to disapeer some time after the directory has been created. ACLs exist on files, that are created at the same time as the directory, but they are missing on anything that is added later. Our default setup of Samba shares is: inherit acls = yes inherit permissions = yes dos filemode = yes ... I was hoping that upgrading to samba 3 would solve the problem. > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von David Brodbeck > Gesendet: Montag, 22.
