Hi there, thanks four your answers! Since I have to consider an environment with different operating systems (different Linux kernels, old AIX, old SunOS, ...) with different limits of groups and group-assignments to users, I am not necessarily able to define one group per project. My only hope for a simple solution was to implement the ACLs on the NFS-Server (Linux) and let it decide if a request for file access will be granted or not by checking the ACL for the requesting user name. I will have to find out about all the involved systems and their limits, number of projects and lifetime of projects before i can go on working on this idea. I am just helping out a friend here, so I am lucky that its not too important for me and I dont have the necessary access to check the conditions right now :) Thanks for your work on the ACLs.
