processor. It is mostly SVR4 compatible, although it has some extensions
(for example, handling more than 9 positional parameters to macros). GNU
m4 also has built-in functions for including files, running shell

`configure' scripts, but not for running them.

Changes: A new bookmarklet and bookmarklet window were added. Online help
was added. A preview when editing and creating was added. Simple parsing
with *bold* and _underligned_ was added. Searching on tags was added. The
source repositor was switched from CVS to subversion. The english po files
were removed. The documentation was converted from plain text to DocBook. A
"show config" feature was added in Administration. version.py is used in
configuration and is printed in the footer.

About: Smarty is a template engine for PHP. Many other template engines
for PHP provide basic variable substitution and dynamic block
functionality. Smarty takes a step further to be a "smart" template
engine, adding features such as configuration files, template functions,
and variable modifiers, and making all of this functionality as easy as
possible to use for both programmers and template designers. Smarty also
converts the templates into PHP scripts, eliminating the need to parse the
templates on every invocation. This makes Smarty extremely scalable and
managable for large application needs.

About: Tea4CUPS is similar in functionality to the *nix command "tee", but
in the form of a CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) backend. Tea4CUPS
captures a print job's data in their final form while they are being sent
to a printer (more precisely, to a CUPS backend), and at the same time
allows you to dispatch these data to any number of commands.
Changes: An incompatibility with Python 2.1 was fixed.

About: TkKasse is a cash desk (POS) software designed especially for use
in restaurants. It runs on ordinary PCs that use cheap standard
components, aside from a POS printer. It supports multiple simultaneous
waiters, bills, and screens. This software has been tested and optimized
on real waiters at a restaurant in Harz Mountains, Germany.
Changes: Configuration is now mostly performed by a Web-based tool rather
than through files. This was done to suit the needs of the average
restaurant boss. The POS printer drivers now allow printing of normal and
double width/height and emphasized/colored characters in one receipt. This
is already used by the built-in receipt templates. Support for cash drawers
connected to a POS printer was added, and this is activated on bill
closing.

integration, MySQL 4 support, the ability to set task description
templates for each task category, NTLM support, workflow visualization
(very basic yet), user-specific access control, group task assignment, and
extensive custom field permissions. Major email import improvements were
done, including regexp, multiple rules per task, the ability to create new
users, to search for keywords in the header, and to accept emails from
specific domains. The user interface was improved.

About: UMLGraph facilitates the declarative specification and drawing of
UML class and sequence diagrams. One can specify a class design using the
Java syntax complemented by Javadoc tags. Running the UmlGraph doclet on
the specification generates a Graphviz diagram specification that can be
automatically processed to create Postscript, GIF, SVG, JPEG, fig, or
Framemaker drawings. Similarly, sequence diagrams are specified using
declarative pic macros and compiled with the GNU plotutils pic2plot
program into a PNG, PNM, (pseudo) GIF, SVG, AI, Postscript, CGM, FIG, PCL,
HPGL, Regis, or TEK drawing.
Changes: The sequence diagrams now include support for drawing comments
and frames.

About: XML::Twig is an XML transformation module. It can be used to
process huge documents while still being in tree mode; is not bound by DOM
or SAX, so it is very Perlish and offers a very comprehensive set of
methods; is simple to use; and DWIMs as much as possible. What it doesn't
offer: full SAX support (it can export SAX, but only reads XML); full
XPath support (unless you use XML::Twig::XPath); nor DOM support. It is
also a big module, and with over 500 methods available it can be a bit
overwhelming. A good starting point is the online tutorial.
Changes: This release fixes a few bugs and adds the parse_html and
parsefile_html methods, which use HTML::TreeBuilder to parse HTML using
XML;;twig.
