About: Ragel compiles finite state machines from regular languages into C,
C++, Objective-C, or D code. It allows the programmer to embed actions at
any point in a regular language, and to control non-determinism in the
resulting machines. It understands concatenation, union, kleene star,
subtraction, intersection, epsilon transitions, and various other common
operators. It also supports the construction of scanners and the building
of state machines using state charts. It can be used to create very fast
recognizers and parsers that are also robust.

About: Rats! is a parser generator for C-like languages (though currently
it only generates parsers in Java). It has been designed so that grammars
are concise and easily extensible. To this end, grammars are organized
into modules that can be easily changed by adding, removing, or modifying
alternatives in individual productions and composed with each other
through module parameters. Furthermore, it relies on ordered choices to
avoid ambiguities, supports syntactic predicates for unlimited lookahead,
and integrates lexing with parsing. Finally, it has extensive support for
automatically generating abstract syntax trees, thus greatly reducing the
need for explicit semantic actions.
Changes: This version fixes a bug when processing assignments during
simplification of Java abstract syntax trees.

About: Strasheela is a highly expressive constraint-based music
composition system. Users declaratively state a music theory and the
computer generates music which complies with this theory. A theory is
formulated as a constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) by a set of rules
(constraints) applied to a music representation in which some aspects are
expressed by variables (unknowns). Music constraint programming is
style-independent and is well-suited for highly complex theories (e.g. a
fully-fledged theory of harmony). Results can be output into various
formats including MIDI, Lilypond, and Csound.

About: UNG (UNG's Not Gallery) is a Web gallery script for control freaks,
tweakers, and other power users. It browses subdirectories (uploaded
manually via FTP/SCP/etc.) of a specified location and creates a hierarchy
of categories and pictures. It automatically creates thumbnails for images
that don't have them already and has an optional comment system so people
can discuss posted pictures.
Changes: Updated to better prevent MySQL injection attacks. A side effect
of this is that UNG will no longer work with versions of PHP less than

implements a complete superset of the features of the classical Unix make
program. It warns about typical misusage of dynamic macros that prevent
portability of makefiles.
Changes: The strlcpy.c and strncpy.c files were added to the first
bootstrap build stage. Note that you cannot directly build a recent smake
with a very old smake. Either use a different make to compile or create
the first stage manually with: cd psmake; sh MAKE-sh, then cd ..;
psmake/smake
