About: akk@da is a simple network monitoring system designed for small and
medium size computer networks. Its purpose is to quick detect system or
network faults, and to display information about detected problems for the
administrator. It is designed as a pro-active network monitor. It does not
wait for information from any agents, systems, etc. It collects
information itself every minute (you can decrease this period to as little
as 1 second if needed). Almost all services of the monitored hosts are
discovered automatically.

Changes: A lot of bugs were fixed. The probes' test scheduler and probes'
template model were improved. Some GUI new functions were added.

About: Auto Project Planner automatically calculates a proper project plan
based on your effort estimations and the due dates you have in mind. A list
of tasks and a list of employees can be defined. Tasks can be assigned to
one or more employees. It is also possible to define a maximum percentage
value an employee can/should work on a task. Public holidays, leaves,
weekly working hours, and more parameters can be specified and are
considered in the calculation. According to this input, the software
computes time plans by minimizing the MSE (mean squared error) between
expected and computed end dates.

Changes: This release provides a menubar and a toolbar with icon buttons.
The improvements in the GUI should make the work with APP even easier.

About: cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs/DVDs with a
CDR/CDRW/DVD recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications.
It supports CD/DVD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc-
and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features
include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs,
and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), DVD-R/-RW,
DVD+R/+RW, TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools

About: cryptmount assists system administrators in setting up encrypted
filesystems based on the device mapper (dm-crypt) of GNU/Linux systems
using a 2.6-series kernel. After initial setup, it allows any user to
mount or unmount filesystems on demand, solely by providing the decryption
password, with any system devices needed to access the filing system being
configured automatically. A wide variety of encryption schemes (provided
by the kernel and OpenSSL library) can be used to protect both the filing
system and the access key. The protected filing systems can reside in
either ordinary files or disk partitions. The package also supports
encrypted swap partitions, and automatic configuration on system boot-up.

Changes: Built-in key-protection based on SHA1 and Blowfish cipher
algorithms was added. Support for dynamically loadable key protection
using OpenSSL or libgcrypt was added. Improved support for very large
(64-bit) filing systems was added. The internal structure was tidied, with
improved robustness.

About: HylaFAX is a fax and paging system for Unix. It supports sending
facsimile, receiving facsimile, polled retrieval of facsimile, transparent
shared data use of the modem and sending alpha-numeric pages. The software
is structured around a client-server architecture. Fax modems may reside
on a single machine on a network and clients can submit outbound jobs from

About: Kimboot is a sick and addictive arcade game in which you control a
hand holding a very heavy ball on a rope. The goal is to destroy the many
enemies which try to eat your hand by crushing them with the ball.

Changes: Major code cleanup; some parts were rewritten from scratch. This
release uses OpenGL for drawing. Theme support: you can make your own
graphics and sounds, and then just choose your custom theme in Options.
Background image support (theme-dependent). New graphical effects. New
kinds of enemies (Drunken, Genius, and Boss). Enemies are now animated. It
is now possible to change the resolution and run Kimboot in a window. Bombs
have been added. Mouse support has been added to the menu, and the menu has
been modified. Some optimizations have been made. Rope is more stable.

About: Recoll is a personal full text search package based on Xapian. It
provides an easy to use, feature-rich, easy administration interface with
a Qt-based GUI. Text, HTML, PDF (with pdftotext), PostScript (with
Ghostscript's pstotext), MS Word (with Antiword), OpenOffice, and maildir
and mailbox mail folders are supported along with their compressed
versions. Powerful query facilities are provided. Multiple character sets
are supported, and internal processing and storage uses Unicode UTF-8.
Stemming performed at query time and the stemming language can be switched
after indexing. No database daemon, Web server, or exotic language is
necessary.

Changes: This release brings a small query language with some field-based
searches (author, title, etc.), and wildcard handling: the standard *, ?,
[] wildcard charactgers can be used in any search. It is now possible to
skip specific paths during indexing (in addition to file name patterns).
The release also includes a number of small user interface improvements

(Linux or another one) by loading menu.lst from your hard disk,
automatically restore Grub on your MBR, swap hard disks in the BIOS, and
boot from any available disk device. It has multi-language support, and
allows you to change the keyboard layout of your shell.

Changes: The annoying bug which caused an "error 15 file not found"
message was fixed. A Slovak translation was added. /boot/grub/menu.lst is
only shown when the file is found. Some "vvvvvvvvv" markings are used to
indicate that you have to select the partitions below.

About: Talend Open Studio is an ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tool.
Talend Open Studio can perform jobs that range from datawarehouse feeding
to database synchronization, as well as file format transformations. Its

About: Webminstats is a Webmin module designed to store system information
in an rrdtool database and to display historic (hourly, daily, weekly,
monthly, and custom) graphs. It is modular in design, so as to be able to
log everything from CPU usage to email box size.

Changes: The cron file permission was changed to fix a problem with
symlinks that occured since the previous release (0.10.4). A bug was fixed
when an Apache proxy is used. The release check now only uses one HTTP
request. All modules have a common behavior with stderr during aquisition:
no errors are shown in "normal" mode, and all errors are shown in "debug"
mode.

About: X File Explorer (Xfe) is a filemanager for X. It is based on the
popular, but discontinued, X Win Commander. Xfe is desktop independent and
is written with the C++ Fox Toolkit. It looks similar to Windows Commander
or MS-Explorer, and is very fast and simple. It features file
associations, the ability to mount/umount devices, a directory tree for
quickly changing directories, the ability to change file attributes,
automatic registry saving, the ability to view/create/extract compressed
archives, and much more.

Changes: This release mainly introduces an optional single click mode for
file navigation. The file date is now preserved when copying files, and a
new option to list files and directories without separating was added.
Some crash bugs were fixed, and Czech and German translations were

About: smake is a higly portable make program with automake features. It
implements a complete superset of the features of the classical Unix make
program. It warns about typical misusage of dynamic macros that prevent
portability of makefiles.

Changes: Major restructuring was done. An autoconf test to check whether
/bin/sh is bash was added to allow the use of workarounds for various bash
bugs. Built-in uname(1) support was enhanced for Mac OS X and *BSD. The
