[001] - abcm2ps 5.3.1 (Development)
  by Guido Gonzato (http://freshmeat.net/users/goccia/)
  Fri, Mar 16th 2007 00:25

Printing

About: abcm2ps is a package that converts music tunes from ABC format to
PostScript. Based on abc2ps version 1.2.5, it was developed mainly to
print baroque organ scores that have independant voices played on one or
more keyboards, and a pedal-board. It introduces many extensions to the
ABC language that make it suitable for classical music.

Changes: This release features a few layout improvements and the new
"%%score" command.

[002] - Asterisk Manager Suite 0.9.6
  by j (http://freshmeat.net/users/jbitch/)
  Fri, Mar 16th 2007 13:06

Communications :: Telephony
Office/Business
System :: Systems Administration

About: AMS (Asterisk Manager Suite) is a suite of software intended to
make day to day administration and monitoring of an Asterisk PBX server
easier. It contains a daemon that acts as a proxy to Asterisk's Manger
Interface, a GTK GUI application for monitoring and administration, and a
C library for communicating with Asterisk's Manager Interface.

Changes: The statistics frame has been fixed to properly display
total/average inbound talktime. Issues in AMP dealing with proper tracking
of inbound/outbound calls and talk time havve been fixed. AMA is version
0.9.6, AMP is version 0.9.5, and AMI is version 0.9.3.

[003] - Auto Project Planner 0.10.0
  by don.didi (http://freshmeat.net/users/dondidi/)
  Fri, Mar 16th 2007 16:01

Office/Business
Office/Business :: CRM
Office/Business :: Scheduling

About: Auto Project Planner automatically calculates a proper project plan
based on your effort estimations and the due dates you have in mind. A list
of tasks and a list of employees can be defined. Tasks can be assigned to
one or more employees. It is also possible to define a maximum percentage
value an employee can/should work on a task. Public holidays, leaves,
weekly working hours, and more parameters can be specified and are
considered in the calculation. According to this input, the software
computes time plans by minimizing the MSE (mean squared error) between
expected and computed end dates.

Changes: New parameters allow you to define task and team environments in
more detail. The software detects and informs the user about logical
errors (e.g. no workers assigned to a task) in definitions. New examples
were added to demonstrate how Auto Project Planner can be used not only
for small teams but also for companies. Export functionality to HTML and
GanttProject has been improved.

[004] - Batchput 0.9.3
  by Johan Warlander (http://freshmeat.net/users/jwarlander/)
  Fri, Mar 16th 2007 08:34

About: Batchput transfers files from a local directory, matching the regex
you specify, to a URL (FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, or anything else
supported by PycURL). Written in Python, it is primarily intended to
transfer "incoming" files continually to another host by being called
regularly from crontab or similar. It focuses on doing this safely and
efficiently by using per-directory locking to avoid collisions between
different batchput processes, allowing configuration of notification in
case of error (email by default, but can be any shell
command/script/program), and moving transferred files to a local backup
location where they can be archived or simply deleted.

Changes: This release allows active mode FTP again (after breaking it by
switching to PycURL) through an --ftp-port option that can be used to
specify the local address to which the remote FTP server should open a
data connection. It also adds regex substitution for hiding user/password
info embedded in the destination URL from program output.

TSP, OpenPGP, and TLS. Versions are provided for the J2ME, and JDK 1.0-1.6.

Changes: This release adds support for the SEED and Salsa20 algorithms,
support for the SHA family with RSA-PSS for certificate, CRL, and
certification request generation, fixes a regression that occured in 1.35
for generating S/MIME signatures for signed multi-part documents with
nested preamble, and fixes an error in the UTF8 decoder which affected
some surrogate pairs. In addition S/MIME and CMS now support SEED,
Camellia, and EC based key agreement as specified in X9.63.

Communications
Multimedia :: Sound/Audio
Multimedia :: Sound/Audio :: Capture/Recording

About: Liquidsoap is a powerful tool for building complex audio streaming
systems, typically targetting Internet radio stations. It consists of a
simple script language, which has a first-class notion of source
(basically a stream) and provides elementary source constructors and
source compositions from which you can build the streamer you want. There
is no constraint on the streams, in contrast to many other tools which can
only stream one file after another. Moreover, it is not restricted to a
single stream. Finally, it interfaces well with external tools.

Changes: This release features new, portable output to speakers using
libao(), a cross() operator that allows cross-fading, per-track settings
for cross(), fade.*(), prepend(), and append() using requests' metadatas,
and pipe() operator that allows one to filter the raw audio through an
external program. sox and other common tools aren't suitable for that
because they don't flush their output often enough. A new on_blank()
operator was included for calling a callback on excessive
blanks.input.http.mp3() was implemented, including support for icy
metadata. say_metadata() was generalized into append() and prepend().
