Software is only as useful as its users' ability to understand and use it.
Questions arise, problems are faced, and feedback needs to get through.
Unfortunately, traditional methods of enabling the conversation between
users and developers have been slow and impersonal. Today, we hope to
bring speed, ease, and a human element to the interaction.

[001] - Adam's Happy Electronic Morabaraba 0.5
by Adam Oellermann (http://freshmeat.net/users/adamoell/)
Sun, Apr 1st 2007 08:19
Games/Entertainment
About: Adam's Happy Electronic Morabaraba is an implementation of
Morabaraba, an ancient African board game similar to Nine Men's Morris.
Changes: A new cross-platform GUI. The implementation of a "no
machine-gunning" rule for complete MSSA compliance. Several bugfixes and
performance improvements. The source code now compiles with GCC, MSVC, and
the Intel C Compiler. The engine is encapsulated in DLL/DSO for consumption
by the GUI.

Scientific/Engineering
About: Asymptote is a powerful descriptive vector graphics language for
technical drawing, inspired by MetaPost but with an improved C++-like
syntax. It provides for figures the same high-quality level of typesetting
that LaTeX does for scientific text. Asymptote is a programming language as
opposed to just a graphics program. It can exploit the best features of
script (command-driven) and graphical user interface (GUI) methods.
High-level graphics commands are implemented in the language itself,
allowing them to be easily tailored to specific applications.
Changes: Structures now have implicit initializers. PDF animations are
supported in inline tex mode by communicating the texpreamble to LaTeX.
The asypreamble environment was removed in favor of corresponding
Asymptote commands in the asydef environment. Default y tick values were
fixed. The binary space partition now works correctly for projections from
infinity. The array boolean operators && and || were renamed to & and |.
The PostScript clipping code was fixed. Segmentation faults in the
Delaunay triangulation and image codes were fixed.

Internet
Internet :: Proxy Servers
Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Site Management
About: BalanceNG is a modern software IP load balancing solution. It is
small, fast, and easy to use and setup. It offers session persistence,
different distribution methods (Round Robin, Random, Weighted Random,
Least Session, Least Bandwidth, Hash, Agent, and Randomized Agent) and a
customizable UDP health check agent in source code. It supports VRRP to
set up high availability configurations on multiple nodes. It supports
SNMP, integrating the BALANCENG-MIB with Net-SNMPD. It integrates pcap
packet dumping for debugging purposes and allows the implementation of a
"transparent forensic logging bridge".
Changes: The SNMP functionality has been extended (now including gateway
scripts, all LB methods, and VRRP bscript/mscript settings). The
BALANCENG-MIB has been updated accordingly. The online help information
has been revised and optimized for 80 chars/line. The VMware virtual
machine has been updated. The manual has been updated to release 1.820.0.

About: BALLView is an extensible viewer for bio-molecular structures. It
provides all standard models and offers rich functionality for molecular
modeling and simulation, including molecular mechanics methods (AMBER,
CHARMM, and MMFF94 force fields), continuum electrostatics methods
employing a Finite-Difference Poisson Boltzmann solver, secondary
structure calculation, molecular editing and docking. Since BALLView is
based on BALL (the Biochemical ALgorithms Library), it is easily
extensible on the level of C++ code. In addition, it provides a Python
interface with Integrated Development Environment features to allow
interactive rapid prototyping.
Changes: Major changes were made in the underlying classes. A preview mode
and small molecule database interface were added.

About: BlockHosts is a script to record how many times a local system is
attacked, based on configurable scanning of system logs for sshd or other
services. When a particular IP address exceeds a configured number of
failed login attempts, that IP address is blocked using hosts.allow files,
or by using null-routing, or by using packet filtering. An email
notification facility is also available.
Changes: This release includes log messages in email notifications, and
all patterns have been moved to the config file to manage the growing list
of patterns in a better way. The config file is no longer optional.

About: XySSL is a cryptographic library written in C. It currently
features several ciphers (AES, Triple-DES, and ARC4), hash functions
(MD{2,4,5}, SHA-1, and SHA-256), and RSA and X.509 reading support. It
also implements the Secure Sockets Layer version 3 protocol (SSLv3), as
well as the Transport Layer Security version 1 protocol.
Changes: This release primarily adds support for enabling or disabling
