About: Apache is the world's most popular HTTP server, being quite
possibly the best around in terms of functionality, efficiency, security
and speed.
Changes: This version of Apache is principally a bug and security fix
release. mod_proxy now prevents reading past the end of a buffer when
parsing date-related headers. mod_cache now prevents a segmentation fault
if attributes are listed in a Cache-Control header without any value. The
prefork, worker, and event MPMs now ensure that the parent process cannot
be forced to kill processes outside its process group. A possible XSS
attack against a site with a public server-status page and ExtendedStatus
enabled was fixed. mod_mem_cache now copies headers into longer lived
storage.

About: check_logfiles is a plugin for Nagios which checks logfiles for
defined patterns. It is capable of detecting logfile rotation. If you tell
it how the rotated archives look, it will also examine these files. Unlike
check_logfiles, traditional logfile plugins were not aware of the gap
which could occur, so under some circumstances they ignored what had
happened between their checks. A configuration file is used to specify
where to search, what to search, and what to do if a matching line is
found.
Changes: New category okpatterns can reset error messages found during the
scan so far. A critical pattern found in a logfile can stay persistent
during successive runs of the plugin, until it is cleared by an okpattern
or a timeout. A new type, "errpt", allows scanning of AIX errpt output
instead of a real file. Some bugs with supersmart postscript output were
fixed.

About: Crossfire TRT is an advancement of the crossfire multi-user RPG
game. Unlike the original project, it focuses mainly on stability and

Changes: The music and sound protocol has been (re)written, and a lot of
sound effects and music have been added to enhance the whole game
experience. The implementation of server-side widgets will provide a

About: KAlarm lets you configure personal messages to be displayed,
commands to be executed, or emails to be sent, at scheduled times. It
allows you to choose the message font and color, how often to repeat,
whether to display an advance reminder, whether to speak the message or
play a sound when it is displayed, and whether to cancel the alarm if it
can't be triggered on time (e.g. if you are logged out at the time). As

About: The MirBSD Korn Shell (mksh) is an actively developed successor of
pdksh (the Public Domain Korn Shell), aimed at producing a shell good for
interactive use, but with the primary focus on scripting. It is intended
to be portable to most *nix-like operating systems as long as they're not
too obscure. mksh incorporates improvements from OpenBSD and Debian, as
well as bugfixes and enhancements developed for the MirOS, FreeWRT, and
MidnightBSD projects. The emacs command line editing mode is UTF-8
capable, and Byte Order Marks are ignored in scripts. The shell supports
large files, as well as all pdksh and some csh, AT&T ksh, and GNU bash
features, is compatible with the Bourne shell and POSIX (within limits),
has no limit on array sizes, and incorporates some other useful builtins
and features. While being already fast and small (without losing
functionality), flags to make it even smaller can be given at compile
time. An interactive shell reads "~/.mkshrc" on startup.
Changes: This release fixes a few typos, compiler warnings, and ugliness.
DEC Unix (OSF/1) is now somewhat supported using gcc. Several patches were
imported from OpenBSD ksh to fix some memory leaks, a busy loop bug, and a
tab completion bug. A mirtoconf issue with gcc4 and SSP (ProPolice) not
supported on some platforms is solved. The Debian package contains a
workaround fixing autobuilds on GNU/HURD.

About: MyVoIPSpeed Server very accurately measures the quality and
performance of Internet connections for Voice over IP (VoIP) usage by
simulating UDP VoIP sessions between a server and browser clients.
Connections are tested for jitter, packet loss and bandwidth consistency.
Download and upload bandwidth speeds are also measured. Reported metrics
include max pause, round trip time, and QOS (bandwidth consistency). The
Professional version includes a performance database that records all
bandwidth test results, session ID tracking, socket-to-socket speed
testing, and HTTP speed testing. The NOC Edition can perform automated
testing from one or more remote locations, providing information for
network operation centers to analyze VoIP quality, network quality and
overall performance. As a Java applet, MyVoIPSpeed Server is easily
incorporated into Web pages.
Changes: Remote agents (RAs) now support downstream (server to client)
VoIP testing. RAs and applets both send details packet-by-packet for
downstream testing as well as upstream. The downstream VoIP test is
plotted as a separate graph or section in the detail report. RAs support
packet discards and packet order metrics (upstream). Browser applets and
RAs both support packet discards and packet order metrics for upstream.

About: NoMachine NX is a fast terminal server and desktop virtualization
system based on the X11 protocol. NX is an order of magnitude faster than
VNC or X11 and can run on bandwidth as narrow as 10 kBit/sec. In addition,
NX translates and embeds the MS Windows Terminal Server and VNC protocols
into X/NX, enabling users to compress and accelerate remote Windows and

About: OpenVZ is a modified Linux kernel with additional support for
OpenVZ Virtual Environments (VE, also known as VPS). VEs are isolated,
secure environments on a single physical server, enabling better server

rebooted independently and have root access, users, IP addresses, memory,
processes, files, applications, system libraries, and configuration files.
Due to a single kernel model, OpenVZ has native performance and very high

Changes: This version is now based on the 2.6.22.6 kernel. SLUB works with
UBC, and SLUB is the default allocator now. The tickless kernel works on

About: Rsyslog is an enhanced multi-threaded syslogd. Among other
features, it offers support for reliable syslog over TCP and RFC 3195,
writing to MySQL databases, fully configurable output formats (including
great timestamps), the ability to filter on any part of the syslog
message, and on-the-wire message compression. It is designed as a drop-in
replacement for stock syslogd and thus is able to work with the same
configuration file syntax. Of course, some enhanced features require
changing the configuration file, but in general, this should be fairly
easy.
Changes: This is a code cleanup and bugfix release. It provides a number
of fixes, cleans up compiler warnings, and has some doc improvements. A
problem that causes rsyslog to segfault in some constellations is being
investigated. This upgrade is recommended only for people who experience
problems or would like to help with fixing bugs.

About: Wammu is a mobile phone manager that uses Gammu as its backend. It
works with any phone that Gammu supports, including many models from
Nokia, Siemens, and Alcatel. It has complete support (read, edit, delete,
copy) for contacts, todo, and calendar. It can read, save, and send SMS.
It includes an SMS composer for multi-part SMS messages, and it can
display SMS messages that include pictures. Currently, only text and
predefined bitmaps or sounds can be edited in the SMS composer. It can
export messages to an IMAP4 server (or other email storage).
Changes: Various crashes were fixed and stricter rules were applied on
