About: BlueProximity helps add a little more security to the desktop. It
does so by detecting a certain Bluetooth device, most likely a mobile
phone, and keeping track of its distance. If it is moved away from the
computer and the distance is above a certain level (no measurement in
meters is possible) for a given time, it automatically locks the desktop
(or starts any other shell command wanted). Once away, the computer awaits
its master's return: if the device is nearer than a given level for a set
time, the computer unlocks without any interaction (or starts any other
shell command wanted).
Changes: This release has many GUI improvements and follows the GNOME
Human Interface Guide. All action commands can be edited via the GUI now.
A new command can be executed at a given delay as long as you are present.
Logging is now available, either to syslog or a normal file.

About: Chiron FS is a FUSE based filesystem that implements replication at
the filesystem level like RAID 1 does at the device level. The replicated
filesystem may be of any kind you want; the only requisite is that you
mount it. There is no need for special configuration files; the setup is
as simple as one mount command (or one line in fstab).
Changes: A bug with fsync that made PostgreSQL 8.2.4 panic on startup and
prevented vim from saving files was fixed. It was a wrong return value of
the function giving to the application a false negative. An installation
issue of the man page when using the source tarball version was fixed.

About: Freedup uses filesystem links to eliminate duplicate files and thus
reduce the amount of used disk space within one or more file systems.
Freedup searches all given file system trees for identical files and links
them to the most frequently referenced inode or to the inode of the first
file tree. If the devices differ, a symbolic link is used instead of a
hard link. Symbolic links will not replace files when at least one of the
directory trees does not start with a "/" (unless overridden by the -s
option).
Changes: Enhanced to include only regular files in each investigation. The
test is now also performed using lstat. OS function errors are now handled
by perror() instead of assert(). The text messages have been corrected and
completed where it seemed appropriate. Stability was proven by intensified
testing.

About: HEGONS is a HEterogeneous Grooming Optical Network Simulator that
supports mixed routing and wavelength assignment algorithms and optional
wavelength conversions capability on each node. The goal of Hegons is the
evaluation of different dynamic routing and wavelength assignment (RWA)
algorithms in WDM optical networks in terms of several measures such as:
call blocking probability, fairness (variance in blocking probability),
call setup time, etc.
Changes: Optionally, converter nodes can now try the same chosen channel
from the previous node before doing conversion. In other words, the
converter node will first act as a non-converter node; if the channel
fails, only then it will do conversion. You can use this option simply by
defining TRY_PREV_CHANNEL directive in the code. The purpose of this
feature is to try to reduce the blocking probability by trying to maintain
the same wavelengths chosen along light paths.

for looking up and studying kanji (the Chinese characters used in Japanese
writing).

About: Java Stencil Report is designed to write school reports in a fast
way by a set of user-inserted sentences. It has a small vector graphics
editor to create a full customizable print model. Java Stencil Report is
designed for schools, but can be used to write any kind of judgement. It
does not require any installation.
Changes: The tool can now export in PostScript and PDF format (with the
Apache FOP library). An image object was added in the print model editor.
It is now possible to save Evaluation Wizard files even if there is no
stencil inside. The file filter class was enhanced to also support one
point extensions (*.PDF, *.PS). The error dialog, window close, about
dialog, text box, and open/save dialog were improved and a new icon was
added.
