About: Absolute is a lightweight Slackware Linux derivative distribution
that uses an Icewm, ROX-Filer window/file manager combination. It comes
with Firefox, The GIMP, MPlayer, K3B, kTorrent, Gaim, Frostwire, Gftp,
StarDict, Skype, and many other titles all set up and ready to run.
Several utilities are included to ease configuration and management. It is
compatible with all Slackware 11 packages and can be installed just like a
Slackware disk, except that you cannot choose which packages to install or
remove, as it just installs everything.
Changes: The kernel is now at version 2.6.24.3 (smp), compatible with
Pentium MMX, preemptive. A modified pcmanfm replaces ROX-Filer as the
default file manager, although ROX is still running the pinboard
(background/icons) and is available for file browsing. Devtray is gone,
and its functionality was taken over by pcmanfm for mountable volumes and
ivman for playable media. Memory consumption is down. Wicd manages wired
and wireless connections. Firefox is now at version 3.0b4. linHDD.py (the
drive information and formatting utility) was updated. Over 90 packages
were updated to keep up with Slackware-current and GCC version bump.

About: AgileWiki is meant to create software systems which are fluid,
easily configured and can be reorganized on-the-fly to meet ever changing
requirements. It includes a COW-based database, the Rolonics programming
paradigm, and semantic inferencing.
Changes: Selections were added to the UI of browse; less typing is now
required to use it. Elements, children, and parents queries to browse were
added. The COODBMS home page now contains a lot more information on how to
use browse as well as discussion about the initial contents of a branch.

About: awfDialog Wizard can be used to generate a wizard-like Web based
user interface using AJAX to avoid reloading the page when advancing to a
new step. It features modal forms dialogs that cannot be closed, or
non-modal with an exit button. It displays included or custom icons, which
may have standard 32x32 or 20x20 sizes. A Wizard display mode causes the
form content region to render in two side-by-side panes. There are AJAX
wizard buttons to go to the previous and next pages or cancel. You can use
the built-in Help display, or override it with your own AJAX methods. The
forms have configurable gradient title bar colors. The user interface
elements have unique ID values to allow customization of presentation
details via CSS.

About: CacheGuard is a Linux-based OS/appliance dedicated to Web traffic
security and optimization. It transforms an x86-based machine into a
powerful Web gateway appliance. It allows you to control Web traffic for
Web surfers and Web servers by acting as a forwarding and reverse HTTP /
HTTPS proxy. It supports HTTP transparent implementation, HTTP
compression, Web caching, URL black- and whitelist guarding, and Web
server load balancing. It features a stateful firewall with NAT and PAT,

that produces some inconsistent HTTP requests has been fixed. Synflood
rules are less aggressive, so overloaded Web browsing works properly
without faulty rejects. Textual output has been formatted to comply with
VT100 terminals. The power-off button on SPC appliances works now and
shuts down the system properly. The LCD displaying on SPC appliances works
properly. The "conf diff" command has been optimised. A "Show
Configuration" option has been added to the Web GUI Administration.

About: cave9 is a gravity cave-exploration game. It's a 3D version of the
classic SF-Cave game. Your ship goes into a cave at constant forward
speed, and you have to control two diagonal thrusts to keep it from
hitting the walls. As the game progress, the cave will twist more and
become more tight. There's an online scoring system ready, only lacking a
working server to host them.

described in Config::Model::Itself so you can use the same user interface
to edit configuration data (for instance Xorg configuration data from

configuration tool for your own application.

About: The HelenOS project is an effort to develop a working operating
system. HelenOS supports SMP, multitasking, and multithreading on 32-bit
and 64-bit, little-endian and big-endian processor architectures, among
which are AMD64/EM64T (x86-64), ARM, IA-32, IA-64 (Itanium), 32-bit MIPS,
32-bit PowerPC, SPARC V9, and Xen. The extent to which these architectures

About: Boosting is a meta-learning approach that aims at combining an
ensemble of weak classifiers to form a strong classifier. Adaptive
Boosting (Adaboost) implements this idea as a greedy search for a linear
combination of classifiers by overweighting the examples that are
misclassified by each classifier. icsiboost implements Adaboost over
stumps (one-level decision trees) on discrete and continuous attributes
(words and real values). This approach is one of the most efficient and
simple to combine continuous and nominal values. This implementation is
aimed at allowing training from millions of examples by hundreds of
features in a reasonable amount of time/memory.
Changes: This release brings a few bugfixes in training and test
procedures, and error rate reports on multi-class problems. Moreover,
optimization of the most called functions brought nice training speed

About: The massXpert software package is a mass spectrometry environment
for linear (bio-)polymers. It inherits all the innovations of GNU
polyxmass. It allows the detailed definition of new polymer chemistries in
the XpertDef module. These chemistry definitions are then used in the
desktop calculator-like mass calculator (XpertCalc) and in the
sophisticated polymer sequence editor and (bio-)chemical/mass
spectrometric simulations module (XpertEdit). Available simulations
include polymer and monomer chemical modifications, polymer sequence
cleavage, gas-phase fragmentation, m/z ratio calculations, and more.
Changes: Intra-molecular cross-links were implemented. For protein
chemists, this means that sulfide bonds are now handled in the sequence
and that simulation of the fluorescent proteins also (their chromophore is
created by internal cross-links involving three monomers). Finding a
sequence motif in a polymer sequence was implemented. This is a rather
simple implementation but very handy for long polymer sequences. A serious
bug with how composite formulas are handled in certain cases was fixed. You
should really be upgrading to version 1.7.1 for this reason. Various
bugfixes and other small improvements were made.

About: The WiKID Strong Authentication System is a highly scalable, secure
two-factor authentication system. It is simple to implement and maintain,
allows users to be validated automatically, requires no hardware tokens,
has a simple API for application support (via Ruby, PHP, Java, COM,
Python, etc.), supports multiple domains, and supports replication for
fault tolerance and scalability. It also supports mutual /host and
transaction authentication.
Changes: WiKIDAuthPlugin is a Plone PAS plugin that once installed in the
user folder will enable WiKID two-factor authentication for your Plone
site. This is a very early release. It has been tested on Plone 2.5.3 and
3.0.6.

About: XPontus is a Java-based XML editor designed for text editing. It
aims to provide a free alternative to commercial XML editors. It has been
reported to run correctly on Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris, and
FreeBSD. There are many installers for platform convenience.
Changes: This release is an entire rewrite of the software, which now uses
a plugin architecture. Code completion (XML, HTML, and XSL) has been added.
A few bugs from previous releases have been fixed, and some user
suggestions implemented. The code structure of HTML/XML documents has
changed. XPath support has been added. HTML documentation generation from
XML schemas and DTDs has been implemented. This release will be able to
use file system abstraction, which means that an FTP file and a local file
will be look all the same to the application.

About: Yakuake is a drop-down terminal emulator based on KDE Konsole. It
features smoothly rolling down from the top of your screen, a tabbed
interface, configurable dimensions and animation speed, a skinnable GUI,
and a sophisticated DCOP interface.
Changes: This is the first maintenance release in the stable 2.9 release
series for KDE 4. It brings bug fixes, minor behavioral improvements, and
improved compatibility with the upcoming KDE 4.1, as well as updated
translations.

About: Zoidcom is a high level, UDP based game networking library for
C/C++. Applications register their gameobjects with Zoidcom, and Zoidcom
will manage when which object and which internal data of that object is
sent to whom. It uses bitstreams as a native datatype and thus is very
bandwidth efficient. Support for background file transfers,
synchronization of player movement with extrapolation and client side
prediction, and many other things are included.
Changes: This release adds the ability to remove object dependencies
again, and has a few const changes to some API functions as well as
bugfixes.
