About: Agilefant is a backlog management system that can be used when
spreadsheets and most of the current issue tracking and project management
systems meet their limits. It is intended to be used with agile
methodologies that emphasize building releasable software in short, fixed
time periods, where features are commonly managed using "backlogs".

Changes: Themes can now be added when creating a backlog item. It is now
possible to save changes to a backlog item without closing it. Backlog
items now know when they were created and by whom. The default timescale of
the product roadmap changed to one year. Themes can be deleted in the edit
theme tab.

About: Back In Time is a simple backup system for the GNOME desktop
inspired by the "flyback project" and "TimeVault". The backup is done by
taking snapshots of a specified set of directories. All you have to do is
configure: where to save snapshot, what directories to backup, and when a
backup should be done (manually, every hour, every day, every week, or
every month). It acts as a "user mode" backup system. This means that you
can backup and restore only folders to which you have write access.

Changes: A right-click menu in the files list now provides opening (using
gnome-open), copying (you can paste in Nautilus), and restoring (for
snapshots only). A "Copy" toolbar button has been added to the files list.

effect filters. Security features and file management functions are
provided. The class can also work on local files, which is useful for batch

images. The class can be used to process uploaded files and images, via
HTML pages, Flash uploaders, or to work on local files.

About: Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP
server. It is designed to provide DNS and (optionally) DHCP to a small
network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the
global DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows
machines with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in the DNS with names
configured either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq
supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP/TFTP for network booting
of diskless machines.

Changes: This release adds two frequently-requested features: ability to
handle more than one DNS domain, and static DHCP address assignment to more
than one MAC address (for laptops with both wired and wireless networking).

About: Kate is a codec for karaoke and text encapsulation for Ogg. Most of
the time, this would be multiplexed with audio/video to carry subtitles,
song lyrics (with or without karaoke data), etc, but it doesn't have to be.
A possible use of a lone Kate stream would be an e-book. Moreover, the
motion feature gives Kate a powerful means to describe arbitrary curves, so
hand drawing of shapes can be achieved. This was originally meant for
karaoke use, but can be used for any purpose. Motions can be attached to
various semantics, like position or color, so scrolling or fading text can
be defined.

Changes: This release fixes a katedec crash which occurred when decoding
more than one Kate stream to stdout.

About: Luke is a handy development and diagnostic tool for Apache Lucene.
It accesses existing Lucene indexes and allows you to display and modify
their contents in several ways. A user can browse by document number or by
term, view documents, copy them to the clipboard, retrieve a ranked list of
the most frequent terms, execute a search and browse the results, analyze
search results, selectively delete documents from the index, reconstruct
the original document fields, edit them, and reinsert them into the index,
optimize indexes, and much more. Luke can also be extended through plugins.

Changes: This release adds many new functions and tools, and upgrades Luke
to use the official Lucene 2.4 release.

About: Apache's mod_rewrite provides methods to map values to attributes
using the directive RewriteMap. One not so well known feature of
mod_rewrite is to extend this functionality with internal functions, which
can be defined in a seperate Apache module. mod_icpquery is an
Apache-2.0/2.2 compatible module that extends mod_rewrite by internal
RewriteMap functions. It sends out a request as a UDP query to a list of
Unicast or multicast addresses. This query conforms to RFC 2186, also known
as ICP, and can be handled by various HTTP-caching servers such as squid. A
cache-server handling ICP should reply to an ICP query with an ICP response
indicating if it holds the desired object in its cache or not. This
information can be further processed by mod_rewrite using its superb regex
rules.

About: nss-ldapd is a (glibc) NSS module for doing name lookups to an LDAP
server. This module allows retrieval of information about Unix accounts,
groups, hosts, and other information from an LDAP directory. It is a fork
from the nss_ldap module to do some architectural changes. This
implementation splits the functionality into an NSS part and a local daemon
to do the lookups. This works around a number of problems in the original
implementation.

Changes: This release fixes a problem in the Debian package configuration
that would cause user-supplied configuration to be ignored over
automatically detected values.

About: Sudo (su "do") allows a system administrator to give certain users
(or groups of users) the ability to run some (or all) commands as root
while logging all commands and arguments. Sudo operates on a per-command
basis, it is not a replacement for the shell.

Changes: A crash which occurred when the -i flag was used with a uid not
in the password database has been fixed. Sudo now operates in the C locale
again when doing a match against sudoers. A potential crash when a glob
matches a large number of files has been fixed. A compilation problem with
certain versions of Heimdal KerberosV has been fixed. When setting the
umask, sudo will now use the union of the user's umask and the value set in
sudoers. Sudo now stats fewer files when doing a wildcard match.

About: Vortex Library is a BEEP Core protocol implementation, following
the standard defined in RFC 3080 and RFC 3081. It has a clean and
easy-to-use API that allows you to write new application protocols very
quickly. Vortex Library has been developed within the Af-Arch project, and
it is being used at the data transport layer. However, Vortex Library can
be used independently of Af-Arch.

Changes: A general API update to apply axl-bool-removal-02 change
notification which, in general terms, improves C++ usability and allows
existing C users to continue having the same behavior. Support to allow
buggy BEEP peers to use 0 as the first MSG no number on channel 0 (can be
controlled via the API). Support to disable SEQ frame generation (useful
for tuning profiles). vortex_channel_close has been updated to block the
caller until the channel is closed if a close in transit is detected
(rather returning immediately with "channel closed").

whohas was designed to help package maintainers find ebuilds, pkgbuilds,

However, it can also be used by normal users who want to know which

distribution.

Changes: This is the first big update in three years. All modules are now

About: XHTML Family Tree Generator is a CGI Perl script together with some
Perl modules that will create views of a family tree. Data can be stored in
a database or in a data file. The data file is either a simple text (CSV),
an Excel, or GEDCOM file listing the family members, parents, and other
details. It is possible to show a tree of ancestors and descendants for any
person, showing any number of generations. Other facilities are provided
for showing email directories, birthday reminders, facehall, and more. It
has a simple configuration, makes heavy use of CGI (and other CPAN
modules), generates valid XHTML, and has support for Unicode and multiple
languages.

Changes: Proper handling of date of birth and death in GEDCOM data.
