About: The ADAPTIVE Communication Environment (ACE) is an object-oriented
(OO) C++ framework that helps you develop and deploy high-performance
networked applications faster and with less code to write and maintain. ACE
is especially useful for systems that use network and/or inter-process
communications and that take advantage of multithreading. While the ACE
source code is free, that's not the only way you save money with ACE. ACE's
wrappers and higher-level patterns help you develop your software quickly
and portably, helping you to complete your projects on time and within
budget.
Changes: This release adds a new ACE::isdotdir() function. It has improved
WinCE Unicode support. A crash when the ACE thread tries to inherit the
logging attributes from non ACE threads has been fixed. Race conditions in
the transport cache and when multiple threads make a connection to the same
server have been fixed. Many small memory leaks, compile errors, and test
errors have been fixed. Log output formatting has been fixed. Several tests
have been updated to the new test framework. There is some code refactoring
and acceleration.

About: AVScan is an anti-virus scanner that uses the ClamAV library
(libclamav). It allows you to create a list of scan items for frequently
scanned locations and features on-demand virus database updating, manual
drag and drop object scanning, and pausing and resuming of scanning, all in
a simple GUI environment.
Changes: This version was updated to work with Endeavour Mark II 3.x.x and
Clam Antivirus 0.94.x. Support was added for concatonating multiple paths
to the location when selecting multiple scan items to scan at once.

searched for. When a (list type) relative is selected, the respective

About: checksysreport performs some automatic tests against a directory
containing an untarred Red Hat Enterprise Linux sysreport. You will need a
valid Red Hat Network login in order to use it, as it fetches information
from RHN using the RHN API (see https://rhn.redhat.com/rpc/api/). A
graphical tool, yadarh, is also included: it uses the cache generated by
checksysreport to display RPMs in a given channel and lets you browse them
to have a list of errata and new entries in changelogs that come with other
versions of the same package.
Changes: The XML-RPC timeout was changed to 300 seconds when filling the
cache so that large advisories such as RHEA-2009:0272 can be handled. The
new format of sos for installed RPMs was not recognized.

About: Endeavour Mark II is a complete file management suite that comes
with a file browser, image browser, archiver, recycled objects system, and
a set of file and disk management utility programs.
Changes: The primary changes involve renaming of Endeavour Mark II API
function names. New API functions were also added. No changes were made to
the behavior of existing functions. The old Endeavour API
(libendeavour2.so) will be preserved when you install the new 3.1.1, so
your old programs that use the old API will still work. The old API library
will be moved to /usr/lib/libendeavour2.so (which was formerly a link). New

handles the API signing, token management, and parameter encoding and

About: G4L is a hard disk and partition imaging and cloning tool. The
created images are optionally compressed, and they can be stored on a local
hard drive or transferred to an anonymous FTP server. A drive can be cloned
using the "Click'n'Clone" function. G4L supports file splitting if the
local filesystem does not support writing files >2GB. The included kernel
supports ATA, serial-ATA, and SCSI drives. Common network cards are
supported. It is packaged as a bootable CD image with an ncurses GUI for
easy use.
Changes: The 0.28 update included updates to the Linux kernels of 2.6.27
and above that removed things that appeared to be unnecessary, or at least
had recommendations to exclude if in doubt, but this appears to have caused
problems with USB keyboards. This version update includes rebuilds of all
the 2.6.27 and above kernels with the configuration previously used for
2.6.26. It also uses syslinux 3.73.

About: ipt_pkd is an iptables extension implementing port knock detection
with SPA (single packet authorization). This project provides 3 parts: the
kernel module ipt_pkd, the iptables user space module libipt_pkd.so, and a
user space client knock program. For the knock packet, it uses a UDP packet
sent to a random port that contains a SHA-256 of a timestamp, small header,
random bytes, and a shared key. ipt_pkd checks the time window of the
packet and does the SHA-256 to verify the packet. The shared key is never
sent.
