About: ADM (Asterisk Desktop Manager) aims to integrate your desktop with
the Asterisk PBX and hardware IP phone by providing some useful features
such as automatic on-call volume reduction, one click dialling (from the
clipboard), automatic messenger "away" status when on a call, and some
Cisco 79xx specific features. It will run with any GNOME compatible window
manager. It also works with Mac OSX 10.2/10.3 or Win32 if the gtk2-perl

[003] - Aggrevator 0.6.5
  by Adewale Oshineye (http://freshmeat.net/users/adewale/)
  Mon, Feb 7th 2005 07:12

About: Aggrevator is an RSS/Atom aggregator that uses a MySQL 4.1 database
for storage. The main advantage of Aggrevator is that it is scalable. It
has been tested successfully with 4000 simultaneous feeds from a variety
of sources. Once your database is set up, you can connect to it from any
running instance of Aggrevator (with a valid username and password), so
you no longer have to manually synchronize different installations of the
same aggregator.

Changes: Searches can be restricted by the titles of the feed or entries.
The command keys were changed to use Ctrl-Shift+ F/E/B to switch between
the FeedView/EntryView/BrowserView. The current entry or the current
location can now be opened in the user's default Web browser. It's now
possible to create Feedster search feeds. A cache file was added, which
should improve start-up times for users with a large number of entries.

high-performance computing systems such as clusters and grids. It is based
on a hierarchical design targeted at federations of clusters. Ganglia is
currently in use on over 500 clusters around the world and has scaled to
handle clusters with 2000 nodes.

Changes: Windows support. Gmond can send metrics on multiple unicast and
multicast channels. Gmetric parses gmond configuration file to send
metrics. Gmond has been completely rewritten to use the Apache Portable
Runtime library. IPv6 support has been added for gmond. A new gmond
configuration file format allows for complete control over metric
collection, access control lists, and bandwidth usage. Solaris gmond
properly runs in the background as a non-root user. Mixing operating
systems on the same I/O channel is okay now. The XML DTD has been fixed.
Darwin support has been updated. A FreeBSD gmond memory leak has been
fixed.

Internet :: WWW/HTTP :: Dynamic Content :: Wiki

About: GeboGebo is a wiki system written for tdbengine. It stores all data
in a local database structure and thus provides an indexed fulltext search.
It uses a simple syntax, and has user lists, pages history, a missing pages
list, and a recent changes list. Image and file upload are possible, but
can be disabled. This allows it to work as a small document management
system. A blacklist allows you to lock existing pages from being edited or
new pages from being created. It can also be run in static mode, where all
pages are additionally held as static HTML pages.

Changes: The focus of this release was a new RSS feed generator that makes
it possible for one to always be up-to-date with the state of the wiki. A
makefile for Windows target platforms was included, and several bugs in
the parser were fixed.

Text Processing :: Linguistic

About: Redet (Regular Expression Development and Execution Tool) allows
the user to construct regular expressions and test them against input data
by executing any of a variety of search programs, editors, and programming
languages that make use of regular expressions. When a suitable regular
expression has been constructed it may be saved to a file. For each
program, a palette showing the available regular expression syntax is
provided. Selections from the palette may be copied to the regular
expression window with a mouse click. Definitions can be added to the
palette via an initialization file. As long as the underlying program
supports Unicode, UTF-8 Unicode is allowed in both test data and regular
expressions.

Changes: It is now possible to change the locale via a command in the
configuration menu. The locale is now shown in the title bar. Tests for
group and no-capture-group, octal and hexadecimal character codes, and
tab, bell, escape, and carriage return escapes have been added. When a
program is selected, the program now reports if it supports Unicode. The
history window is now of fixed size but scrollable. Two minor bugs were

Text Processing :: Markup :: XML

About: Serving XML provides a pipeline language for declaratively
adapting content to XML, transforming it through a chain of XSLT
stylesheets and SAX filters, and producing a stream of output to a local
or remote destination. The accompanying console app supports reading
content as XML files, flat files, SQL queries, or SAX events, and writing
it as XML, HTML, PDF, or mail attachments. This software is especially
suitable for converting flat files to XML, with its support for variant
record types, multi-valued fields, namespaces, hierarchical grouping of
records, row-by-row validation with XML Schema, and much more. There is
also an API for embedding the software in a Java application.

Changes: Presenting XML now supports filters that extract document

the use of a separate central archiving repository (harvest) to scale to
installations of significant size.

Changes: The first set of RPMS has been created for Intel Linux systems,
specifically for Mandrake, but Red Hat is on the way. The Linux I/O probe
(for disks) has been overhauled to give capacity, mount points, and
performance details for each filesystem in a single table. 'change' was
added to the 'irs' command. Clockwork had memory leaks fixed and was tuned
to run less, which takes less CPU. Some GUI crashes were fixed and

[090] - Zile is Lossy Emacs 2.0.0
  by Reuben Thomas (http://freshmeat.net/users/rrt/)

Text Editors :: Emacs

About: Zile is a small, fast, and powerful Emacs clone. It is very useful
for small footprint installations (like on floppy disk) or quick editing
sessions.

Changes: This stable release has many new features and many bug and
security fixes. In particular, it no longer depends on ncurses, but can be
built for termcap or Allegro, and has been ported to the EPOC OS. Many
features were removed in order to concentrate on being lean and mean, and
others were added to make the basic Emacs emulation more complete and
accurate. A small display bug in the Allegro terminal was fixed.
