About: Aggrevator is an RSS/Atom aggregator that uses a MySQL 4.1 database
for storage. The main advantage of Aggrevator is that it is scalable. It
has been tested successfully with 4000 simultaneous feeds from a variety
of sources. Once your database is set up, you can connect to it from any
running instance of Aggrevator (with a valid username and password), so
you no longer have to manually synchronize different installations of the
same aggregator.
Changes: Searches can be restricted by the titles of the feed or entries.
The command keys were changed to use Ctrl-Shift+ F/E/B to switch between
the FeedView/EntryView/BrowserView. The current entry or the current
location can now be opened in the user's default Web browser. It's now
possible to create Feedster search feeds. A cache file was added, which
should improve start-up times for users with a large number of entries.

About: GeboGebo is a wiki system written for tdbengine. It stores all data
in a local database structure and thus provides an indexed fulltext search.
It uses a simple syntax, and has user lists, pages history, a missing pages
list, and a recent changes list. Image and file upload are possible, but
can be disabled. This allows it to work as a small document management
system. A blacklist allows you to lock existing pages from being edited or
new pages from being created. It can also be run in static mode, where all
pages are additionally held as static HTML pages.
Changes: The focus of this release was a new RSS feed generator that makes
it possible for one to always be up-to-date with the state of the wiki. A
makefile for Windows target platforms was included, and several bugs in
the parser were fixed.

About: PyLucene is a GCJ-compiled version of Java Lucene, integrated with
Python via SWIG. Its goal is to allow use of Lucene's text indexing and
searching capabilities from Python. It is designed to be API compatible
with the latest version of Java Lucene.
Changes: Almost of all the "Lucene in Action" book's samples and tests
were ported to Python and PyLucene. Along the way, many bugs were fixed,
many API holes were plugged, and a number of Python-like extensions were
added to some of the heavily used classes. The latest highlighter as well
as the br, cn, cjk, cz, fr, and nl analyzers were incorporated from the
Lucene sandbox. Support for indexing non-plain text formats such as HTML,
XML, PDF, or MS Word was verified and illustrated through the "Lucene in
Action" sample ports.

About: Redet (Regular Expression Development and Execution Tool) allows
the user to construct regular expressions and test them against input data
by executing any of a variety of search programs, editors, and programming
languages that make use of regular expressions. When a suitable regular
expression has been constructed it may be saved to a file. For each
program, a palette showing the available regular expression syntax is
provided. Selections from the palette may be copied to the regular
expression window with a mouse click. Definitions can be added to the
palette via an initialization file. As long as the underlying program
supports Unicode, UTF-8 Unicode is allowed in both test data and regular
expressions.
Changes: It is now possible to change the locale via a command in the
configuration menu. The locale is now shown in the title bar. Tests for
group and no-capture-group, octal and hexadecimal character codes, and
tab, bell, escape, and carriage return escapes have been added. When a
program is selected, the program now reports if it supports Unicode. The
history window is now of fixed size but scrollable. Two minor bugs were
fixed.

About: rwdaddresses is a simple little address book program using flat
files. In addition to text data, contact photos can be added and viewed.
You can sync contact names to/from an FTP site. It has context sensitive
help. Additional applets can be downloaded. The GUI interface used is
RubyWebDialogs, which runs through a Web browser. Therefore, it is
completely cross-platform. This is part of the Tinker framework using
Ruby, so applets can be added and removed.
Changes: This version included a RwdAddresses Menu tab for easier
navigation, improvements to context sensitive help, wider text boxes for
contact information, and a tab for jumping to the addresses window.
Contact names are now shown on the photo window. The program was updated
for version 1.51 of rwdtinker.

About: socklog cooperates with the runit package to create a small and
secure replacement for syslogd. socklog supports system logging through
Unix domain sockets (/dev/log) and UDP sockets (0.0.0.0:514) with the help
of runit's runsvdir, runsv, and svlogd. socklog provides a different
network logging concept, and also does log event notification. svlogd has
built in log file rotation based on file size, so there is no need for any
cron jobs to rotate the logs. socklog is small, secure, and reliable.
Changes: The tryto program now supports a -P option for running the
program given at the command line in a new session and signalling the
process group on timeouts. The documentation has been updated.

About: Habitat is a performance management system which captures, stores,
and visualises table-based time series data. Monitor probes exist for
Linux and Solaris with Windows coming soon. It has a command line
interface, a fast GUI client for graphical visualisation, and a simple

Gtk and can access data from its peers directly, by file sharing, or with
the use of a separate central archiving repository (harvest) to scale to
installations of significant size.
Changes: The first set of RPMS has been created for Intel Linux systems,
specifically for Mandrake, but Red Hat is on the way. The Linux I/O probe
(for disks) has been overhauled to give capacity, mount points, and
performance details for each filesystem in a single table. 'change' was
added to the 'irs' command. Clockwork had memory leaks fixed and was tuned
to run less, which takes less CPU. Some GUI crashes were fixed and
information improved.
