my reply was focusing on the harshness of the response.  i wasnt
saying 'dont tell the users how to learn', i was saying 'tell the users
how to learn, but so be so harsh about it'.
in other words, imo, the way he phrased it was too harsh.  it sounded
more like the user wasnt worth the time put in trying to help

i think we can pretty much close this thread ...
the users should be helped, lets try to be nice about it since
this is -newbies ...
that is all ;)
