Did you get the proper PPD for it? Lexmark supplies them for many of their printers. You usually download the windows driver and say you need Adobe PPD support. Take the resulting exe an unzip it in Linux. Get the PPD and load it into CUPS per the documentation. Print a test page. Can you tell me how to get the Lexmark Z53 to work via USB? I've reemerged cups, gimp-print-cups, ghostscript etc. all done when logged in as root. usbview shows the printer is out there. I find no errors in any logs (no mention of USB at all which seems odd). Nothing ever comes out on the printer. ??? -- http://www.unusualresearch.com/ http://www.bpaddock.com/ _______________________________________________ gentoo-newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gentoo.org/mailman/listinfo/gentoo-newbies
