I have the same issue (symptom anyway)

When I perform the steps outlined, sasdupie fails with a segmentation fault. inv.xml is zero length. debug.log is attached. No files in

/var/log/dell/updatepackage/log/support/

sasdupie[20566]: segfault at 20 ip 00007f7c10ef500d sp 00007fff7703f950 error 4 in sasdupie[7f7c10ed0000+110000]
