Re: Vaio Z1* and latest ACPI patches

I had a similar problem with the C1MW - I tracked it down to the 'hwclock'
binary.

With the ACPI patches on 2.4.21, hwclock get or set causes a hard hang with
no oops or panic message.

I just tweaked my rc files not to call it anymore and I'm OK for now.

You might be having the same issue.
