Well, I bravely compiled and installed 2.6.0-test1-ac3, and the
default GNOME battery applet works like a charm. BTW the
touchpad stopped working. Anybody knows about
kernel options (2.5, 2.6) that I should turn on to fix that? I
have tried everything that looks relevant.
Also, the DVD is not available under /dev/hdc anymore, it has
gone to /dev/scd0. It took me a while to find that.

suspend to disk does not work. The kernel just reboots after
reading the resume file. One silly thing I lost with acpi is
that poweroff does not works. Any idea how I can switch to the
old poweroff method (non acpi)? Or any workaround for that.

Would you please send me your /etc/acpi stuff? Where can I get
some good scripts? I dont want to write it all myself if there
are good stuff around.
