I can see the fan.  It's directly underneath the speaker grill that is
above the keyboard.  It's just a bit to the left of exact center.  It
has four screws in it that appear to attach it to a metal shim
underneath.  It has a little wire that runs from it and appears to plug
directly into the motherboard into a fan power slot.  -- Yes, I spent
about 4 hours w/ a carefully angled flashlight staring in there to make
sure I wouldn't screw anything up by using a can of air on that part of
my laptop.   I also found there is only one screw on the grill,
underneath the flip-down panel for my USB port on the left side of my
GRX600K.  The grill appears to shift sideways or something then probably
hinges to lift.

I really think it should be pretty straight forward....
