Please, define "connect"

What do you do and what is the error message/unexpected output?

Example of correct description:

"I want to connect to a windows network using Linux. I have searched
google
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=connect+to+windows+network+from+linux&btnG=Search
and the first result talks about something called SAMBA. It seems it is
what I want so I followed all the steps but when I perform the following
command [...] it gives the following error [...] which I was not able to
find in google"

Good luck,
	Manuel.

If samba indeed is what you want, please check this

and you should really try google Mandriva samba, that it is a toshiba
doesn't make much difference.
