Hi all,
the Fn keys does not change the brightness, they generate keycodes,
(the only one that doesn't do this is the Fn+F5 key).
The module toshiba_acpi doesn't work in my Satellite A100 nor any
download software in the toshiba's web.
I'm using also Ubuntu Dapper 6.06, but that is not the problem, the
problem is the lack of support in the kernel, maybe due to lack of
documentation.

People from toshiba sent me an email saying the specifications they
send are up to date.. but I'm not sure of that. In that specifications
appear ACPI methods that my laptop doesn't have. Maybe I'm asking for
wrong documents but are the ones that are available in the web. Also I
noticed the Satellite A100 does not appear in the HW/Spec section, so
I think documents for this model aren't yet available.

I wonder we had a specification that tell us what to do to change
brightness for new models (_BCM method of ACPI does not work, maybe
the windows driver doesn't use ACPI for changing brightness? :? )

Could anyone send me the /proc/acpi/dsdt file for comparing with mine
please? (Someone that can set properly the brightness)

Thanks a lot!
