Hello,

Running Kubuntu 6.06 LTS (Dapper Drake) on Toshiba Satellite A105-S2716. I
have the majority of the system running, but as it is a laptop, the main
thing I want right now is screen dimming options to consrve battery. I
tried fnfx, but when looking around on the documentation, it said in my
case, I need to recompile the BIOS to enable CONFIG_ACPI and
CONFIG_ACPI_TOSHIBA. I looked for places to tell me how to do this, but
none seemed like they really gave me information on changing those two
settings. I thought that since this was specifically for Toshiba, someone
might have the personal experience and could give me more in depth info. I
also know I have version 2.6.15 and the latest is 2.6.17. Should I upgrade
while I'm recompiling, and how would I do that?

Thanks
Brandon
