[tlinux-users:07999] Tecra A7 Compatibility with The Toshiba Linux Utilities

1) Does the Tecra A7 come with the proper Toshiba BIOS for supporting
Linux's Toshiba ACPI module?

2) Is there some way, other than a mailing list like this, to determine
the BIOS manufacturer prior to purchasing a Toshiba laptop? spec sheet?

BTW, the prior question assumes that the only issue here is that a
Toshiba written BIOS = Linux ACPI compatibility = good, a Phoenix
written BIOS for a Toshiba laptop != Linux ACPI compatibility != good.
If I have that wrong, or there are other issues, please feel free to
correct.

3) Does the Toshiba written BIOS start out as Phoenix written BIOS?
