I just patched 2.6.19 with your attached patch.

I used toshset and it does not work with -lcd, -inten or -video:

 # ./toshset -lcd semi
SciFeature:action: error setting lcd brightness
        SciSet returned: FAILURE
SciFeature::query: received an unexpected response for feature lcd
brightness: 256

 # ./toshset -inten 0
lcd intensity: 5/7

 # ./toshset -video both
HciFeature::query: received an unexpected response for feature Video out:
387

The -video option makes the X screen corrupted and I have to switch to
console and back using Ctrl+Alt+F? to resume uncorrupted screen.

I have not tried all, but at least the -fan works.
