My A135-2246 isn't listed as supported, but it works with ectype=12 So try modprobing it with ectype= 0 thru 20 You can remove it with modprobe -r omnibook Also, and I'm not sure about this, there may some kernel configuration parameter, which you may need, OR may interfere with the omnibook lcd backlight control.
