Hi all,

I'm getting Slackware 12 working on the Satellite P205-S6307
which has PCI-Xpress. I'm making some progress, however
I'm having trouble with a few items and I was wondering if
anyone has encountered these:

1. The Intel Corporation 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7 Family) SATA IDE Controller
(rev 02)
is not letting me enable either DMA or 32bit access
on this system. This limits read access to about 43MB/sec according
to hdparm.

2. Similarly the DVD/RW driver isn't supporting DMA, I am guessing it's
the same controller. This limits DVD writing to about 1.8X
after I turn on 32bit access with hdparm -c1 /dev/hdc.

Summary of my work so far:

Thanks,
