I compiled my own 2.6.22.1 kernel, and sound worked, but the "thumbcontrol" for volume, wouldn't work in KDE. The thumbcontrol worked with Slackware 11. Rexima worked (a mixer setting program), but alsamixer failed with an error about the "Capture Switch appears twice or more".
