I just tried to run some LiveCDs on my new P200-ST2061. I was the first time for ages that I've seen a laptop that wouldn't boot up immediately and I was very disappointed with the computer. But anyway, to make a long story short, I was thrilled when I downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu Gutsy (the release candidate) LiveCD and it all booted up very nicely. (The release version is due out next week I think.) So now I'm happy with my Toshiba again and pleased with Ubuntu Gutsy so far, although I haven't had a chance to checkout all of the hardware components yet. Maybe the new Gutsy will work for you too, Bill and Gururaja. Robert. Gururaja wrote: > Dear Bill, > > Why struggling with Ubuntu to make it work?
