Hi, I'm trying to load-balance my H323 endpoint cluster using LVS (ultramonkey). I'm using fwmark with persistence in LVS-NAT configuration with two interfaces (one facing the real servers the other facing the public) at the director. I use Netmeeting to make an H.323 call to the Virtual Server and I see initial activity on h323 port (1720) in one of the realservers, but then the protocol stops advancing. I checked connectivity (pings and traceroutes) between real servers and the client, and everything checks out. Has anyone tried load balancing H.323 real servers? Do you have any idea what the problem might be? After so many tries, I have doubts about inherent load-balancibility of a protocol like H.323. load-balancing a protocol like HTTP is quite straightforward. But I would like to know the conditions, if there any, for a protocol under which LVS would not be able to load balance. It seems that you should be able to load-balance *any* given protocol with aid of persistence and fwmark. I'll put in more time to get it to work, but I just need an expert's blessing that it's doable. I am familiar with the austintek FAQ, and have read it thoroughly.
