Nico:  You have joined, the issue is that the non-free stuff are outside 
of the normal jpackage way of dealing with stuff and nobody is quite 
sure the best way to deal with these non-free bits now we have moved to 
a new build system since JPP 1.7 which was the last version where the 
non-free stuff was really used
