Leading edge yes. Unusable no. Quite promising translates in my mind as beta 
software. It does not translate as the latest greatest stable feature 
complete release. KDE 4 as is unusable. The plasma panel can't be managed. It 
will not stretch across a dual screen setup. Icons can't be dragged across to 
the second screen. After the screen is locked. The unlock screen wants to 
show up on the second screen. And it doesn't show up. There is no menu 
editor. I can't add additional panels. The list goes on and on.

Maybe KDE4 is a good developer platform but as far as a Desktop client it 
simply brain dead. Nothing like what I would expect from KDE and a couple of 
months is a couple of months with a brain dead desktop. Which would not 
reflect well for Fedora or Redhat or KDE.

Promising yes... Promises promises. Sometimes it is better to delay and get it 
right then release a flawed system that will only frustrate.

IMHO it is better to release 4.1, if the promises are kept as was supposed to 
be the case with 4.0, and Fedora 10. Assuming that everyone keeps their 
promises.
