Right "as-is", good thing we've got a few months to haggle-out the details
in time for F-9 launch.

kde4 is using a lot of new technology in new ways, pushing lower levels of
the techology stack (X, kernel, hal/dbus, etc...) to limits they've never
seen before, and exposing problems.  Fortunately, many of the problems you
describe are of that type (multihead X/driver issues, in particular), not
necessarily (just) kde's fault.  Folks are working hard to solve these. 
Patience.

In time for F-9...
Will kde4 be *perfect*?  Heck no.  (never will be).

Will it be usable and releasable?  I'm 99% confident the answer will be yes.

Will kde4 contain your "pet feature" that's a deal-breaker for you?  Maybe,
maybe not, but if not, then you will always have the option to stick with
F-8 (which is nothing to sneeze at).
