Hallo dear list, I compiled a newer version of iptables per the BLFS book and got some nasty error messages about loading the wrong version of a .so file when I tried to use the iptables command. I realized (with some help ...) that the directory /usr/lib/xtables should be removed prior to compile iptables so that the linker does not pickup older version of modules. I suggest this be added as a note to the iptables chapter.
