Thanks guys. So, in summary... I should proceed with installing all components in Chapter 24 (more or less, maybe depending on Zeckma's input), and that will get me a working GUI with window manager, display manager, etc.? The applications in Ch 24 will certainly require dependencies that I'll also install of course. But, you're saying I should not need to proceed through Chapter 25 (Graphical Environment Libraries), Chapter 26 (Display Managers), or Chapter 27 (Window Managers)? In other words, those chapters are alternatives to the components in Chapter 24 I'll be installing as part of Xorg?
