Another person on this email list Dave Jenkins also has Fedora Core 3,
and is also having issues, although for him it manifests not as a usb
disconnect, but instead the card (and hence network connection) locking
up.

The cause of that lockup is now understood to be other programs
'scanning' the card usb attributes after it has been initialised (which
apparently prism usb cards simply cannot handle). See the thread
'Reliable unreliability with D-Link DWL-122 USB' for details.

You might like to try temporarily disabling hald and delaying the card
initialising to see if it helps.

I see in your case you have an ohci usb hub, whereas Dave is on uhci.
This *could* be a difference that accounts for different behaviour
(but no promises!).
