  Try doing a "cat /proc/net/p80211/wlan0/nsd" and see what you get.
   I get:

   Which were the latest firmware I could get to install on my wusb11 v2.5

     Sounds like it's working then.

Maybe something is fundamentally broken about wireless support in RH9

    Could be the kernel version for all I know. I'm running 2.6.15
But I must say -- I ran redhat for years and  years, installed it on quite a
few servers at  the university and other places I worked for, finally got
really pissed at their constantly changing where they put things and other
reasons, switched to slackware on some machines, debian on others, and
finally switched to all debian. The bottom line was I could not trust redhat
to run it on a server anymore, so why run it on my desktop?
