Sure, Airsnort could do it but it is an active network sniffer, while
kismet is a passive monitoring utility. Active sniffing tends to be
regarded as hostile. WIth all the "hacker" hype and computer paranoia it
helps to be discreet.

Well, I would expect the clerk--even the dishwasher or janitor--to know
such things. Unfortunately too many people don't care about much more
than their paycheck. "Y'do's whats y'gots to do's".
