lsbsl 1.9.1 status

With the recent changes, I now have complete builds
of the lsbsi on: ia32, ia64, x86_64 and s390.
I've put these bundles up on the download server
(http://ftp.freestandards.org/pub/lsb/snapshots/impl)
in case anyone is interested, but at this point they're
totally untested.  There's no reason to think this
won't also build on ppc32, but that's a VERY slow
machine with limited disk and hasn't been tried
(perhaps Marvin can kick off a fresh build so we
don't end up with duplicate trees and run out of 
disk space?).  

That means we still need to work through the s390x
and ppc64 issues, but I'm happier now that one of
the lib64 platforms has built.

At least one package, rpm, is putting libraries
in the wrong place, and needs attention, I just
want to make sure it doesn't also put "/usr/lib/rpm"
in /usr/lib64, which would not be correct.

Over the next two weeks or so we'll need to try to
test all of these, as the 2.0 test suites come
available.


Infrastructure: A better ppc32 machine would be a
help to ongoing LSB development/maintenance (hint,
hint).  Can a ppc64 machine be used as if it were
a ppc32 machine?  For example, is it possible to
build up a chroot loaded with a 32-bit ppc distro
that will believe it is all 32-bit?
