Yes, as long as the changes are properly documented, I don't see any
problem.

(But we have to make sure the release notes will carry the proper
information to prevent the situation where a user upgrades from, say,
2005LE to 2006 and suddenly sees his web server not working anymore
due to incompatible configuration files.)
