I don't have anything coming in mind. MondoRescue has been working on non-systemd systems for years, and I haven't done anything to destro that of course, but tetsts are less frequent these days due to the abuse of systemd adoption everywhere :-(

Both should work fine. Swap paritions are heavily tested. Swap files may just be excluded (the dir in hich they are) to avoid backing up useless content.
